Getting the most out of your coffee
MAKE YOUR COFFEE THE HEALTHY TREAT YOUR BODY DESERVES
We all love coffee, right? Here at All Good Things Cafe we come across manyy coffee lovers each and every day. And sometimes the love seems too much; '“Maybe I shouldn’t have a coffee today”, “I’m trying to cut back”, “I have already had two shots today, maybe I should have something else”. We hear customers struggling with their love affair every day. Well, whether you’re struggling or not, we want to share some options to make your daily ritual a better option, no matter how many times you choose it.
Firstly, most foods have a healthy version and a not so healthy version. Coffee is no different. Our coffee is roasted right here in Wollongong by the amazing Delano team. These guys are SO passionate about their coffee and treat their beans like their children. They source our organic beans from all over the world, making sure they are the best quality and chemical free. They continue to nurture them through the roasting process to maintain the quality and get the best out of the bean (just like we do with our kids).
So you can be assured that we’re already starting with a great coffee base, and once it arrives to us we continue with the care. Our staff are highly trained at not only making coffee but also looking after it. There is an art to good coffee which includes many factors - the grind, the cleanliness of the machine, the weight of the shot, the storage and many other factors that I won’t bore you with today! Everyone at All Good Things Cafe is passionate about these factors and takes pride in each and every shot (not to mention the milk art on top).
Finally, we apply our All Good Things concept of making everything we offer as nutrient-dense as possible. We can help you ‘pimp’ your coffee to make it the healthy, DAILY treat your body deserves. Our Bulletproof Coffee has become so popular. This is a double shot blended with hot water, cultured butter and XCT Oil or Brain Octane, which adds important Omega 3 fats. These are so important for overall health which we are lacking. Your body turns these oils into molecules called ketones, these help burn fat, curb cravings and power our brain. XCT Oil is a blend making it more affordable or you can upgrade to Brain Octane for a bigger ketone boost. These are available in your coffees or smoothies as an extra or you can purchase your own bottle to add to your drinks at home. The cultured butter we use is Gympie butter churned the old fashion way by our provider Camille Mortaud. Cultured butter contains live cultures that are amazing for the gut.
Another nutrient-dense boost we provide is Life Cykel mushroom double liquid extracts and Mindful Food’s mushroom powders you can add to your coffee, smoothies, juices and a variety of other drinks. Again you can purchase to take home and use too. Life Cykel mushrooms are Australian grown, with the founders harnessing the power of medicinal mushrooms in our everyday lives. These mushrooms have specific properties to enhance immunity, cognition, energy and stress. Add to your drink any of the following.
Lion’s Mane - to promote nerve growth, increase alertness, mood, focus and reduce inflammation. It improves overall brain growth. (By far our most popular option.)
Shiitake - protecting skin with powerful antimicrobials and antioxidants.
Turkey Tail - for gut healing with pro-biotic like activity.
Reishi - for liver health, anti-histamine, anti-inflamatory, anti-viral and anti-bacterial.
Cordyceps - improves energy levels, lowers blood pressure and improves utilisation of oxygen in cellular respiration.
Chaga - is the most alkaline food on the planet, immune boosting, anti-viral and anti-bacterial.
So there you have it. Have a coffee and help your body. A daily habit that helps the rest of your life.
